U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

A practicing attorney specializing in estate planning, trusts, and wills, Shari stepped up to fill the void when her club’s head coach moved away. While she was compensated for her position as the head coach of the 180-member Marin Aquatic Masters team, she received this award for the many volunteer contributions she had made in the Pacific LMSC. Shari joined the Coaches and Adult Learn to Swim committees and was actively involved in planning and conducting related clinics. As a certified ALTS instructor since 2017, she helped over 100 adults learn how to swim. She also joined the LMSC’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee when it was formed in 2022. Coming out of the pandemic, the Pacific LMSC had difficulty finding meet hosts for its championship meets, so Sheri volunteered her home pool and served as meet director. In 2023, when the LMSC had difficulty finding a venue for its Annual Meeting, she arranged for a venue at the College of Marin and served as facilities coordinator for the event.
