Longtime member of the Florida LMSC, Meegan held numerous board positions. She served as its Secretary from 1993-1995 and its interim Chair in 1994. Meegan served as the Fitness Chair in 1993 and again from 1998-2001 and as Treasurer for many years, beginning in 1999. She also prepared the LMSC newsletter during 2000. On the national level, Meegan began attending the USMS Convention in 1994 and was a member of the USMS Fitness Committee through 1997. She began working with Carl House on the USMS History Project in 1995 and was one of the original members of the Ad-Hoc History and Archives Committee.
